Sailboat Day Sailing Charters

 Enjoy a scenic 3 to 6 hour charter on the traditional Cabo Rico 34 sailboat, SpinDrift.  The itinerary can be flexible and tailored to your sailing and sightseeing interests. We can sail around Duxbury and Plymouth bays and out past Gurnet Lighthouse on Duxbury beach.  Or, the charter can tailor a combination sail on the bays with a motor through Plymouth harbor and view the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock from a more nautical standpoint.  Other historical highlights we may pass or view include Myles Standish monument, Clark’s Island and Bug Light.

The charter usually starts and finishes with pick-up at the Duxbury Town Pier.  We take an enjoyable 10 minute motorboat ride on a new 14’ Zodiac motorboat with a Yamaha 40 HP to Spindrift moored next to Clark’s Island.  Optionally, we can combine or divide the charter time between the Cabo Rico sailboat and the Zodiac motorboat.  The itinerary is then yours to decide….. 

 Provincetown 2 Night / 2 Day Charter: 

2 person quarters in bow master cabin.

The typical Provincetown charter starts with the Zodiac motorboat ride to SpinDrift in the latter part of the selected afternoon.   You can get familiarized with the cabin and the forward master cabin with hanging locker and plenty of cabinet storage.    Then a review the sailing systems in general including a review the nautical paper charts of our next morning’s planed sail.   A relaxing evening in the cockpit and a barbecue dinner completes the night.   Scenic Wellfleet Harbor could be an enjoyable and quiet overnight mooring option. 

1st Day:  After breakfast we will drop the mooring around 8AM and sail to Provincetown Harbor where, after an approximate 6 hour sail, we will anchor or pick-up a mooring.  This is your charter and you are very welcome to steer the boat, trim the sails and take general sailing command or simply enjoy the ride.  After arriving at Provincetown around midafternoon you are welcome to dingy yourselves to the dock and enjoy the many activities and/or dinner ashore.  Or, a second barbecue dinner aboard for those who enjoy watching the harbor activities and no desire to go ashore is another good option.

2nd Day:  We drop the mooring after breakfast and have a great sail back to the mooring in Duxbury arriving around midafternoon.

* Both cabins and the head are private.  The head is shared.  Clean bedding always supplied.
